Book online now using Eventbrite. Typical Masterclass timetable9:30am to 4:30pm - Please bring your bicycle with you as we will be working on them on the different points shown below. The Masterclass is designed as a hands on module for giving the knowledge for maintenance and roadside repairs to your bicycle. All tools are supplied. It is not deemed as a qualification as a Cycle Technician 9:45am - Set up bikes to work on and introductions 10:00am - Wheels – Show the easiest way to remove both front & rear wheels, tyres and tubes and what to look for. An explanation of your tyre pressures & removal of cassettes and hub bearing types explained Headsets – Explain types and the differences – show how to dismantle and what to look for in wear and tear Chain sets - Show the removal of the chain sets and re fit. Pedal descriptions explained, and removal demonstrated Bottom Brackets – Removal of a bottom bracket and pointers of wear. Seat Post – How to adjust all seat posts including suspension 12:00pm - LUNCH – bring along a packed lunch 12:45pm - Gears – Adjustments, alignment importance, chain details on wear Brakes – Adjustment, pad wear alertness Wheel Truing – Demonstration on how to get spokes replaced and wheels trued to ride. How to replace a rim on the road & punctures 4:00pm - Any Questions – A chance to have answers to those questions that you did not get the answer too whilst on the Masterclass!
