Service Charges - The Bicycle Hub

You do not have to book your bicycle in for servicing. Just turn up when it is convenient for you and leave your machine with us.

Regular servicing will ensure your bicycle stays safe and comfortable. It will mean you get the maximum life out of your components and will help you to plan for the replacement of parts as they wear out.

To make it easy for you to predict how much the work will cost we have a range of fixed charges for common jobs. If your job is a little more unusual then we will charge you an hourly rate of £25 per hour. Our minimum labour charge is £5. Unless specifically stated, these charges are for labour only, you will need to pay for parts on top.

If your bicycle is muddy on booking in for servicing and we need to clean it so we can work on it, we will charge you an additional £5. There are FREE cleaning facilities at the Bicycle Hub which you can use to clean your bicycle on arrival.

Dr Bike	FREE
A 30 point health-check of your bicycle so that we can make recommendations for any work you need. Takes about 10minutes though you may need to wait a bit longer at busy periods.

Gear Service	£25
Full replacement of cables, housing, ferrules and caps. Tracking of gear hanger and adjust (additional £5 for gripshift)

Cable Brake Service	£25
Full replacement of cables, housing, ferrules and caps

Hydraulic Brake Service	£40
Bleed and replace fluid front and rear (hose replacement, if needed, not included)

Replace Headset	£15

Platinum Service	£100
The full works. Your bike will look like new. Total strip of parts cleaned, re-greased and reassembled Frame and fork alignment check and track Gear and brake cables replaced including gear hanger tracking, casing, ferrules and caps Gears and brakes checked and adjusted All bearings - removed, degreased and re-greased Wheels - trued and tensioned Chain - checked for wear and lubricated Tyres checked for wear, damage and inflated to pressure Wheels checked for alignment Steering checked for alignment If you need parts, you just pay for the parts, you don't pay any more for labour.

Gold Service	£60
The full, annual service. Frame and fork - visual check Gear and brake cables replaced casing, ferrules and caps Gears and brakes checked and adjusted including gear hanger tracking All bearings - removed, degreased and re-greased Wheels - trued and tensioned Chain - checked for wear and lubricated Tyres checked for wear, damage and inflated to pressure Steering checked for alignment Bottom Bracket removed, greased and refitted If you need parts, you just pay for the parts, you don't pay any more for labour.

Silver Service	£40
The tune-up, suitable for bikes under a year old or between annual services. Frame and fork - visual check Gears and brakes checked and adjusted Chain - checked for wear and lubricated Tyres checked for wear, damage and inflated to pressure Wheels checked for alignment Steering checked for alignment All bearings - checked for adjustment and overall safety Bottom Bracket removed, greased and refitted If you need parts, you just pay for the parts, you don't pay any more for labour.

Puncture repair we replace the inner tube and, if possible, repair the puncture on the existing tube so you can have it as a spare. Includes the cost of a standard inner tube.	£10
