The Bicycle Hub is a buzzing place with a massive cycle community locally and nationally

The Bicycle Hub was established in new premises in Ironbridge in December 2006 and has grown to be one of the most dynamic cycle shops of its type in the region. In its first year in its new location the team have enjoyed fantastic success and recognition for the unique mix of cycle services and the diversity of cycle products available.

The Bicycle Hub is a buzzing place with a massive cycle community locally and nationally. But it is the people that make it such a fantatstic place including our spokes people who are all specialists and cyclists too.

The shop is located in Jackfield in the Ironbridge Gorge. As it lies in the heart of England its central location has made it very popular nationally especially for our tandem customers. We are located only three hours away from 70% of the UK's population so we are easy to get to.

The shop sits within a 2000sqft of open-plan space with a wonderful courtyard in this alpine-styled building called FUSION.

With Peter Bird at the helm the shop was never going to be traditional. His bold statement of an open-plan public viewing workshop and service centre in the heart of the shop has proved popular and illustrates the confidence of him and his team.

The shop is on one level and entered via our large courtyard - a hive of activity throughout the year. The courtyard provides a secure try-out area for bikes, a training area, dedicated bike parking, a jet wash facility and an outdoor seating area for cyclists to relax in. Indoors there is a large cycle show room selling major brands, niche and specialist bikes and an extensive range of parts and accessories. The service centre has a 3 Bay open-plan workshop providing general servicing, repairs, wheel building, specialist brazing and more.

Training is a major part of the Bicycle Hub and courses are held throughout the year in the shop including master-classes, maintenance and wheel building courses and child and adult cycle training.

The Shop also has a number of specialist showroom areas including the Tandem Shop, the UK's only dedicated specialist tandem retailer, custom builder and supplier of specialist components. Also the Tandem Experience team are located here, the original and only tandem training, experience and holiday specialist.
