A new course in the Ironbridge Gorge aims to boost the confidence of Shropshire cyclists. The Bicycle Hub in Jackfield is running Brilliant Bicycle Basics courses once a month from their workshop. The courses take people through the things every cyclist needs to know including removing wheels, mending punctures and keeping gears and brakes adjusted. The course has been set up in response to customer demand. The Bicycle Hub has been offering in-depth training for some years and these courses continue to prove popular, Staff realised that many customers were looking for a short, snappy course in the basics. The sessions are small and friendly, with a maximum of six people attending each one. They cost £10 per person and last for two hours. They will be run on Thursdays at 1900hrs. Booking is essential. Find out more here. Peter Bird runs the Bicycle Hub and leads the training sessions. He said “We have a lot of customers who haven't cycled for many years. They can sometimes be a little intimidated by the new technology, loads of gears, quick release wheels and so on. And if people don't feel confident on their bikes, they are less likely to ride their bikes.” “The whole team at the bicycle hub is focused on helping people to enjoy their cycling. Whether you want a bike for the school run or you want to ride across Europe, we will give you the advice, the help and the support you need.” Visit the Bicycle Hub today at thebicyclehub.co.uk facebook.com/thebicyclehub twitter.com/thebicyclehub or even FUSION, Jackfield, Telford. |
