A 4 to 6 hour ride to Halfpenny Green Vineyards for lunch and a browse at 250 feet above sea level.

Leave the Bicycle Hub on the NCN 45 towards Coalport where you will cross the river Severn by the Memorial Footbridge. Follow the road to the end of the Gorge where you will turn left - do not try to ride this hill (unless you are an experienced cyclist), and take the 6 minute walk up the steepest and shortest hill out of the Gorge. The route then takes you to Brockton where you will turn RIGHT and then left to Ryton. At the bottom of the hill turn right. At the church in Beckbury turn right and then LEFT at the village school, ride down the hill to Burnhill Green and then turn right. The first turning on your left will take you to Rudge and Seisdon, passing through Long Common where you cross the B4176 to turn left, and left again to the Vineyard.

Leave the Vineyard the same way you came in, but at the junction go straight on (the road bears left here). Head for Claverley, a pretty village, and on to Worfield where you will turn right over the B4176. Then turn left for Badger where for a while you will be cycling on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border and arrive in Badger which is a simply gorgeous setting with a duck pond and thatched cottages - a quiet village. Out of Badger continue to Beckbury and then downhill to Ryton again. Climb out of Ryton and retrace your route back to the Bicycle Hub. Total distance 36 miles
